This dataset shows the delineation of Zoning Districts in Calvert County, MD. This zoning dataset went into effect March 1, 2025. The municipalities of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach are not included in the zoning dataset. There are some polygons that are assigned a right-of-way (ROW) classification, but ROW is not a zoning district.

The zoning was approved by the Board of County Commissioners. The zoning is derived from the County’s Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map. The zoning was delineated to be in alignment with parcel boundaries. Each parcel in Calvert County is assigned a single zoning district with the exception of roughly ten parcels that contain multiple zoning districts. This dataset is updated by the Department of Planning and Zoning staff.
