The dataset is updated monthly and is based upon an extract/export of the enterprise parcel feature class. The following 2 additonal fields are populated in this manner:

1. STATUS_CA- using spatial analysis on each parcel it is determined if:

   • The parcel intersects the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area. These parcels are coded "PARTIALLY WITHIN CRITICAL AREA"

   • The parcel's centroid falls within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area. These parcels are coded "ALL OR MOSTLY WITHIN CRITICAL AREA".

   • No portion of the parcel is intersects the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area. These parcels are coded "NOT WITHIN CRITICAL AREA"

2. REVIEW-

   • If any portion of the parcel interesects the Critical Area this is coded "Yes"

   • If no portion of the parcel interesects the Ctritical Area this is coded "No"

**Note that the Critical Area boundaries for the towns of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach are separate than the boundaries for the rest of Calvert County. Properties in either town as simply coded as "CONTACT MUNICIPAL PLANNING OFFICE"
